Fullerton, the Nance County seat, is at the heart of the best hunting and agricultural land in Nebraska at the convergence of Highways 14 and 22.  Fullerton is located at 41°21′47″N, 97°58′15″W (41.363009, -97.970858).  Google™ Map , Yahoo® Map , MapQuest® Map , Windows Live Local Map.  Fullerton population was 1,378 at the 2000 census. 

Fullerton  is the
county seat of Nance County. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.2 km² (1.2 mi²), all land.

With an active Economic Development Committee and Chamber, the city strives toward progress and development.  Fullerton offers a technologically advanced
public school, updated city library, new motel, two new assisted living facilities, nursing home and several medical clinics that are the pride of the community.  A beautiful 9-hole grass green golf course and clubhouse is located with scenic views of the Cedar River Valley.  Within the calm settings of beautiful oak trees resides Broken Arrow Wilderness, a camping facility offering a broad range of relaxing activities.  These amenities put Fullerton at the pinnacle of "Nebraska--the good life."  Fullerton is definitely "pulling together for progress." Demographics, the
population density was 429.1/km² (1,110.0/mi²). There were 636 housing units at an average density of 198.0/km² (512.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 96.95% White, 0.80% Native American, 0.07% Asian, 1.09% from other races, and 1.09% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.47% of the population.

There were 551 households out of which 29.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.4% were
married couples living together, 9.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.9% were non-families. 30.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.37 and the average family size was 2.94.

In the city the population was spread out with 25.9% under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 20.6% from 25 to 44, 22.2% from 45 to 64, and 24.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females there were 96.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.7 males.

The median income for a household in the city was ,055, and the median income for a family was ,087. Males had a median income of ,528 versus ,063 for females. The
per capita income for the city was ,593. About 8.5% of families and 12.0% of the population were below the poverty line, including 17.2% of those under age 18 and 10.3% of those age 65 or over.
